    The 2015 HDCA  conference will be hosted by Georgetown University, in Washington, D.C. on the theme:

    “Capabilities on the Move: Mobility and Aspirations”

    September 10-13, 2015

    The 2015 HDCA Program Committee cordially invites scholars, government policy makers, practitioners and other interested parties from all over the world to participate in the 2015 HDCA conference.  Original empirical research, theoretical issues, case-studies or reports of experiences, or findings from major research projects, and book panels relevant to conference theme or more broadly related to human development/capabilities approach will be presented.

  2. Special issue innovation/technology/design of HDCA e-bulletin Maitreyee

    …In March 2012 Maitreyee has published an issue on innovation/technology/design. Maitreyee, the e-bulletin of the HDCA, is a starting point for academics and practitioners who work in human development areas and who are seeking a brief introduction to research and work undertaken on a number of human development topics. Initially Maitreyee is only available to HDCA members, but after 6 months it becomes publicly available….

  3. Updated bibliography on CA & Innovation/Technology/Design available

    …With input from members of the group, coordinator Ilse Oosterlaken has created an extensive bibliography on the topic of the capability approach and innovation/technology/design. The bibliography was shared on the group’s mailinglist and will be updated annually….
