The Capability and Education Network (CAEN) began meeting in 2003 and became the HDCA Education Thematic Group in 2005. It aims at promoting and supporting: (i) the work of scholars, students and practitioners using the capability approach in the field of education; and (ii) the work of the HDCA. The network is open to HDCA members and non-members alike to discuss work in progress and emerging new ideas and it is a particularly useful forum for students, academics and practitioners to share their work with a wider audience. The Education thematic group provides an opportunity to share your own contributions to the field with fellow members and also to develop new national and international partnerships. If you wish to plan a local or regional event then please share your news via this webpage. We welcome new and existing members to contribute ideas to take this popular thematic group forward as we embark on the second decade since its inception.
