Professor Martha C. Nussbaum has been named the winner of the 2021 Holberg Prize for her groundbreaking contribution to research in philosophy, law and related fields. Professor Nussbaum, the University of Chicago’s Ernst Freund Distinguished Service Professor of Law and Ethics, is appointed in both the Law School and the Department of Philosophy. She is one of the founding members and a former President of the HDCA (2006-2008.)
