About Fernande Pool

Fernande Pool is a Marie Sklodowska Curie “Leading” Fellow at the Institute of Social Studies (Erasmus University Rotterdam) in The Hague, Netherlands. She has a PhD in Anthropology from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. Fernande uses ethnographic research with religious people (Bengali Muslims in India and Pakistani Muslims in The Netherlands) to critically reflect on ethical assumptions underpinning (secular) development frameworks and integration policy.
