  • Biographical info: Dr. Esdras Bispo Jr. is an Adjunct Professor from the Federal University of Jataí (UFJ), Goiás, Brazil. He holds a PhD in Computing Education from the Centre of Informatics (CIn) of the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE, Brazil) with an interchange period at Brunel University London (UK). He graduated in Information Systems from the Catholic University of Pernambuco (UNICAP), and his master's subject was in Knowledge Representation at the University of São Paulo (USP, Brazil). He was chair of the Jataí ACM SIGCSE Chapter (2018-2023) of the Special Interest Group on Computer Science Education (SIGCSE) of ACM (Association for Computing Machinery). He was the member-facilitator of (i) Working Group of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (WG IDEA) of the Special Committee in Computing Education (CEduComp) of the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) [2022-2023] and (i) Diversity Committee (CoDi/CIn) [2023-2024]. His main interests focus on equity and active learning in computing education, under the lens of the capabilities approach.
