Webinar: How does civil society in East Asia affect child wellbeing and child inequalities?
August 12 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am UTC+0
Monday August the 12th at 11 CET time, 10 GMT
Organized by the HDCA East Asia Regional Network and the Children and Youth Thematic Group
Description:
This research panel attempts to discuss the role of civil society in tackling child inequalities and in fostering child wellbeing in East Asia. In fact, inclusive decision-making allows civil society to account for demands of citizens at local level and to tackle important issues that impinge upon child wellbeing and child inequalities. Also, civil society can affect child wellbeing and child inequalities by delivering public services using inclusive structures that allow local authorities to reach more vulnerable segments of a society. Hence, it is interesting to focus on how civil society actors can shape children’s lives in East Asia.
Speakers:
Dr. Mariaclaudia Cusumano (University of Milan-Bicocca) who is presenting her research on “Access to food resources and physical activity for young children in the cities of our time”.
